The issue of food wastage has emerged as a pressing global concern, with staggering amounts of edible produce discarded each year. “The World Food Wastage” delves into the alarming phenomenon of surplus food loss and its far-reaching implications on humanity and the environment. Food Waste is a big climate problem we can actually tackle.

This dataset includes, by country, household, retail, and food services estimates of food waste as well as other data points. This data is taken from 214 unique countries.

Understanding the data.

  1. The data has various columns-
  2. By digging further it can be seen that most of the data has a very low confidence estimate, so most of the data is not reliable.
Reliability of the Data

3. Sub Saharian region leads the charts of the top total food wastage.

4. In terms of countries, Malaysia, Nigeria, and Rwanda are the top three countries with the highest Net food wastage.
